The outer sheath is made of thermoplastic material and is resistant to UV rays. Designed for low friction, making handling and installation easier for the user. The thermoplastic used in the cable projection is a lightweight material, serving as an electrical insulator, resistant to exposure to high temperatures, resistant to chemical products, and waterproof, thus having a considerable increase in its useful life. Non-flame propagating outer sheath, COG class.
Drop Cable FIG. 8
Main Features
Support elements: Galvanized steel wire, which provides thermal stability and prevents tensile and
contraction forces on the optical cable in aerial installation;
Traction element: Dielectric fiber filaments, applied around the basic unit (tube), which provides
thermal stability and prevents traction and contraction forces in the optical cable in internal installation in ducts or gutters;
Rip Cord: Helps to break the outer cover, facilitating installation;
Jelly: Resistant to high and low temperatures, its viscosity reduces the impact of sudden movements on the fiber, making it slide, giving it mechanical resistance and also protecting it against freezing and water contamination, which cause micro curves of obstructions;
Loose Tube: Anti-crush elements, which absorb impact and provide additional protection against excessive flexing of the cable and temperature changes, protecting the fiber against possible damage. Facilitates fiber identification
