TP-LINK’s JetStreamTM L2 Basic Management Gigabit Switch TL-SG3424 provides 24 10/100/1000 Mbps ports. The switch offers high performance, enterprise-grade QoS, advanced security strategies, and valuable Layer 2 basic management features. In addition, the switch also comes equipped with 4 combo SFP slots, flexibly expanding your network. This cost-effective JetStreamTM L2 Basic Management Gigabit Switch offers an ideal enterprise solution for small and medium-sized businesses. TL-SG3424 has robust security and powerful management features.
IP-MAC-Port-VID binding and Access Control List (ACL) functions enhance broadcast storm, ARP and Denial-of-Service (DoS) protection, and Quality of Service (QoS, L2 and L4) provides advanced traffic management to help your data transfer faster and smoother. Furthermore, the easy-to-use web management interface along with CLI, SNMP and RMON enable faster setup and configuration with less downtime. For workgroups and departments that require a cost-effective Layer 2 switch with gigabit capability, TP-LINK’s JetStreamTM Basic L2 Management Gigabit Switch TL-SG3424 offers the ideal high-end access solution.
This JetStreamTM L2 entry-level management gigabit switch series 3 provides IP-MAC-Port-VID Binding, Port Security, Storm Control and DHCP snooping that protect against broadcast storms, ARP attacks, etc. It integrates some protections against Denial of Service (DoS) attacks to select from. You can protect yourself from these attacks more and more easily than before. In addition, Access Control Lists (ACL, L2 and L4) restrict access to sensitive network resources by denying packets based on source MAC Address, destination IP Address, TCP/UDP ports and even VLAN ID. In addition, the switch supports 802.1X authentication, which is used in conjunction with a RADIUS server to require some authentication information before network access is allowed. Guest VLAN function supports allowing clients without 802.1X authentication to access specific network resource.
To integrate data, voice, and video services into a network, the switch applies valuable QoS policies. The administrator can assign traffic priority based on a variety of means, including IP address or MAC address, TCP or UDP port number, to ensure that voice and video are always clear, smooth, and jitter-free. In conjunction with Voice VLAN and the supporting switch, voice applications will run with much smoother performance.
For more Layer 2 switch applications, the TL-SG3424 supports a full range of features, including 802.1Q VLAN tagging, Port Mirroring, STP/RSTP/MSTP, Link Aggregation Control Protocol, and 802.3x flow control function. In addition, the switch provides advanced features for network maintenance, such as Loop Back Detection, cable diagnostics, and IGMP snooping. IGMP snooping ensures that the switch intelligently forwards multicast streams only to appropriate subscribers, while IGMP filtering and control restricts each subscriber at the port level to prevent unauthorized multicast access.
The TL-SG3424 supports various IPv6 functions such as IPv4/IPv6 Dual Stacking, MLD Snooping, PMTU (Path Transmission Unit) Discovery, and IPv6 Neighbor Discovery. The TL-SG3424 is IPv6 certified, which ensures that your network is ready for Next Generation Networking (NGN) without the need to upgrade your network equipment.
The TL-SG3424 is easy to use and manage. It supports various standard user-friendly management features, such as an intuitive web-based graphical user interface (GUI) or industry-standard Command Line Interface (CLI), and traffic management can also be secured via SSL or SSH encryption. SNMP (v1/2/3) and RMON support allow the switch to be polled for status information by sending valuable traps upon abnormal events. In addition, with the built-in PND/NTDP protocol, the switch can be managed by the switch commander via the IP aggregation function more easily.
