In addition, the switches provide advanced network maintenance features such as Loop Back Detection, Cable Diagnostics and IGMP Snooping. IGMP Snooping ensures the switch can forward multicast streams only to appropriate subscribers while IGMP Throttling and filtering restrict each subscriber at the port level to prevent unauthorized multicast access.
