The Compact Optical Drop Cable is used in FTTH and FTTA optical networks for end-user installations. Its structure is composed of 2 fibers with low curvature sensitivity of the G.657 type, which allows a smaller curvature radius and lower attenuation levels.

The cable also consists of a steel support element (messenger) that allows aerial installation in spans of up to 80 m and two steel traction elements that assist installation in ducts. The messenger is fully adhered to the coating with the option of the traction elements also being adhered to the external coating, preventing tensile and contraction forces in the optical cable during aerial installation, UV protection and composed of LSZH (Low Smoke, Zero Halogen), which is flame retardant in case of fire and does not emit toxic pollutants.
